Cha Cha Chai
We use quality tea as the base for our Cha Cha Chai, Australian Black tea. For a great tasting, Chai is it vital to have a great tea base for you to build your flavours into. Our recipe of Chai tea is hand-blended and includes cardamom; cinnamon, cloves, ginger, black pepper, nutmeg and star anise. When blended together with warm milk and honey for sweetness, this Chai tea is delicious, warming and blissful to drink.
Ingredients: Australian Black Tea, Organic Cinnamon, Organic Cardamom, Organic Star Anise, Organic Cloves, Organic Nutmeg, Organic Peppercorns & Organic Ginger. Contains Nut. Ingredients are sourced from all over the world.
How can I make Chai???
You can create this tea using your own brewing method or we recommend the following;
Warm half milk and boiled water with your Cha Cha Chai tea in a saucepan (don't let it boil over!), or Chai teapot if you have one. Allow the mix to quietly simmer for a minimum of 5 minutes leaving for up to 15 minutes. Once the flavors are infused pour your Chai Tea through strainer into your cup and enjoy!!
Sweetening with sugar or honey is a good option if you like it sweet!
Steep your Chai tea mix overnight in honey in your fridge. Make sure that you have mixed all the Chai flavors really well together. For a single serve add one teaspoon to your tea strainer or teapot and then pour in some already warmed milk! Leave your Chai Tea for at least 5 minutes and pour through a strainer to enjoy!
Or use the cooking method above. Use your fridge mix within 7 days! I find it's a good idea to write the date I make it on the top of the container.
Another way to enjoy Cha Cha Chai is to add warmed sweetened condensed milk to your mix! Alternatively, try with coconut milk, almond milk, rice milk or soy milk!
If you try any of these flavors let me know what they taste like!
At The Blue Mountains Tea Company we recommend that you use each serving of tea for a minimum of two infusions! The quality is just so good!
Our Cha Cha chai is handmade and hand-blended by Certified Tea Master Melinda Jones.
